Part 3: 2018 Trends From A&S Homes’ Design Centre

Submitted on

Lynn Fenwick, A&S Homes design boutique expert, has collected the top 2018 decor trends, and is letting us share them with you.

Taking inspiration from the Danish

One of the coziest design trends, Hygge, is big this year, Fenwick says. Hygge is described as a feeling of contentment and well-being.

Candles, sheepskin rugs, fireplaces, woven throws, and items that make rooms feel relaxed all work within this style.

Look up

After being ignored for so long, Fenwick says the attention is back on ceilings. This includes creative moldings and wood.

Bold is back

Fenwick says wallpaper is back, especially in dramatic patterns like paisley, floral, or abstract.

She named floral as the top print this year, and velvet the top fabric.

Colours to look for:

  • Millennial pink
  • Primary colours
  • Pantone Colour of the Year ultra violet
  • Green (namely, tones like sage, celery, and avocado green)
